Intellvisions Software Ltd (BSE: 531777), the leading provider of Self-Service technologies & Security solutions and Cradle Technologies, a silicon valley based semiconductor company today unveiled the most advanced next generation video platform Trinetra™. The cutting edge technology, developed in India makes possible intelligent video surveillance and security across diverse scenarios.
Trinetra™ is pegged as an industry first in providing 4 Channel video surveillance with hard disk for recording & playback of stored video streams. It provides sensor inputs and alarm output for triggering external devices in the event of an alarm. Additionally provided with GSM/GPRS/CDMA connectivity, Trinetra™ can be interfaced to local or Networked storage with flexibility to copy content onto SD cards or USB devices.
The on-chip video analytics technology has varied market applications including high performance surveillance solution for critical infrastructure such as railway stations, airports and high security areas such as Defence and Nuclear establishments. The Trinetra™ can be used as Network Video Recorders (NVR) for ATM surveillance and also in video conferencing systems.
“Embedding intelligence at the board level dramatically reduces overall system complexity and maintenance, improves system performance, and lowers implementation and lifecycle costs. Intellvisions thus enters the high end IP based surveillance market which is estimated to grow to USD 12 billion globally by 2010. With security becoming a buzzword globally, we are looking at tapping the European and American markets as well,” said Mr. S. Nair, Managing Director, Intellvisions Software Limited
Trinetra™ provides selectable MPEG-4 streaming to address user requirements for higher quality images and/or lower bandwidth to stream video data. Trinetra™ enables streaming full 640x480 resolution at up to 30 frames per second ( NTSC ) / 25 frames per second ( PAL ), and delivers outstanding picture quality across a standard network interface.
Trinetra™ harnesses the power and performance of Cradle Technologies USA’s Multi Core DSP (MDSP) architecture and Techwell Inc. USA’s high quality NTSC/PAL decoders to provide 4 Channels of intelligent video and an outstanding Price to Performance ratio.
“We understand the importance of strong partnerships to deliver complete and tailored solutions to our customers. The on-chip MDSP platform ensures the performance of multiple DSPs and IO devices at the cost of a single chip. Cradle's expertise in MDSP, together with our expertise in image & video processing, will provide added value to our customers and will open up new markets for us," said Mr. Raj Menon, Executive Director, Intellvisions Software Limited.
“Video surveillance over IP is witnessing tremendous growth. Worldwide security requirements are just one segment of this opportunity. With recent advances in Video Content Analysis (VCA) enabling real time detection of interesting events, the market is expanding into remote supervision and other operational management functions. We are pleased to have Intellvisions as a world-class design and manufacturing partner in India" said Satish Gupta, Founder and Executive Vice President of Cradle Technologies USA. "These OEM Board Level Products would help manufacturers across continents to significantly cut their time-to-market and would also serve to accelerate deployment of VCA applications."
“We are pleased to have worked with Intellvisions and Cradle on the groundbreaking Trinetra™ platform,” stated David Nam, VP - Sales and Marketing, Techwell Inc. “Coupled with our market leading quad video controller, we believe the Trinetra™ solution is well positioned for the intelligent video streaming market”.
Designed for high-end security applications, Trinetra™ is now sampling and available as OEM to all kinds of product developers as well. The market for Trinetra™ is across UK, India and Middle East (UAE, Kuwait, and Bahrain). Presently Intellvisions have had enquiries for approximately 10,000 pieces and the demand is expected to grow in the coming months when more system integrators and developers would adopt these boards for their own delivery into the market.
