ING Vysya Foundation , under its flagship programme, 'ING Chances for Children' today held its pan-India Annual Volunteering Initiative of 'education-through-fun'. In New Delhi, over 60 employees from ING Vysya Life Insurance (IVL) and ING Vysya Bank (IVB) took over 350 children for a visit to Aero Planet at Dwarka. The initiative created a unique 'simulated flying experience' for the under-privileged children. They boarded the simulated airplane, wherein the air-hostesses thought them on how to use the seat-belts, life-jackets, oxygen masks and also served meals on-board. Speaking on the occasion, Ms Rajini Chadha, Director Projects - ING Vysya Foundation said, "ING Vysya is deeply committed to supporting ING's mission to provide opportunities for children to receive proper education. We believe that the ING Chances for Children programme truly make a difference in the lives of children. Through initiatives involving ING Vysya employees together with organizations such as GIDF, the ING Chances for Children programme aims to contribute to the goal of achieving primary education for all children. This effort is representative of many projects that ING's employees worldwide are supporting to contribute to the worthy cause of education for everyone." The 'education-through-fun' Initiative also took place at 11 locations across the country. Over 1,000 employees from ING Vysya Life Insurance and ING Vysya Bank participated in the programme, involving 3,000 under-privileged children.
