Infosys expands Czech BPO unit
Infosys Technologies has announced the expansion of its nearshore facility in Brno, Czech Republic. It has set up a 400-seat facility to provide BPO and IT services to its clients in Europe.
Infosys Technologies has announced the expansion of its nearshore facility in Brno, Czech Republic. It has set up a 400-seat facility to provide BPO and IT services to its clients in Europe.
With existing nearshore development centres in London, Germany and Mauritius, the new centre will widen service capabilities.
"The Brno centre is part of our strategy to build nearshore centres in various parts of the globe. This, along with our large offshore centres in India and the centre in China, gives us an expanded global network, allowing proximity to our clients and seamless flow of work on a 24X7 basis," said Mr Mohandas Pai, Chairman, Infosys BPO and member of the board, Infosys Technologies, in a release issued by the company.
Infosys BPO, Brno, operational since August 2004, focuses on end-to-end transformational outsourcing solutions to its portfolio of clients. The new Brno facility will house employees from over 20 nationalities, 80 per cent of which are locally hired.
