Infomedia India Ltd. has announced Q2 EBITDA at Rs.11.52 crores for the quarter ended September 30, 2006, a growth of 54%, as compared to Rs. 7.50 crores, for the corresponding period in the last fiscal. The quarter also saw Total Income increase by 45% to Rs. 60.70 crores as against Rs.41.84 crores for the corresponding period last year. The company's PBT at Rs. 6.4 crores, grew by 10% as compared to the Rs. 5.8 crores for corresponding period last fiscal.
Net Revenues for H1 '06, rose by a healthy 51% to Rs. 93.36 Crores as compared to Rs. 61.8 Crores for the corresponding period last fiscal, while EBITDA grew by 58% from Rs. 11.75 crores to Rs. 18.55 crores. PBT grew by 20% to Rs. 9.82 crores, as compared to the Rs. 8.2 crores, in the previous fiscal.
Quarter Highlights
The second quarter of the year saw the company's completion of the Scheme of Arrangement for buy-back of equity shares as approved by the Honbl'e High Court of Bombay and the proceeds amounting to Rs. 81.25 crores have been disbursed in September 2006.
The quarter also saw the appointment of Infomedia group as Google's representative to sell on-line advertisements on Google.com in India. This is first time that Google has appointed a re-seller in India. Another highlight of the quarter was the registration of Infomedia Yellow Pages in the Superbrand caegory.
Says Mr. Prakash Iyer, Managing Director, Infomedia India Ltd., "Our BPO business have settled nicely and are showing good results and our continuing businesses are witnessing strong growth too. We expect the growth momentum to be sustained for the remainder of the fiscal."
