The top 6 contestants of Indian Idol 3, India's most popular singing reality show on Sony Entertainment Television, were in Delhi for a concert on August 15th.On that day, the top 6 contestants visited Pantaloons Fresh Fashion Store at the Unitech Metro Walk, Sector 10, Near Rithala Metro Station, Rohini, Delhi, among other activities.
The contestants - Amit Paul, Meiyang Chang, Puja Chhaterjee, Emon Chaterjee, Prashant Tamang, and Ankita Mishra, interacted, signed autographs and sang for the customers at the store. They also shopped for their favorite apparel and accessories at the store. As part of their interaction with the customers they gave away complimentary passes for the Indian Idol Concert in the city, being held at Adventure park, from 7.00 p.m on August 15, 2007.
Indian Idol the hugely popular adaptation of the blockbuster 'Pop Idol' format took the nation by storm in its very first season and followed that with an equally popular season 2 & 3. While Indian Idol serves as the ultimate platform for budding singers from across the nation, to realize their dreams, the show has become the most entertaining and involving show, to hit Indian television. The third season of Indian Idol has been received with even more enthusiasm & interest making the [participants house hold names. Be it the Chinese -born Indian Meiyang Chang, or the cool cop from Kolkata Prashant Tamang or the Sonu Nigam-lookalike Emon Chaterjee or the scintillating performer Ankita, perfect singers like Puja ,Amit...they are loved & lauded by the viewers. The discerning judges of Indian Idol 3 are the reigning melody king Udit Narayan, the kajra re girl & pop diva Alisha Chinai, the evergreen Annu Malek and the internationally acclaimed lyricist - Javed Akhtar.
With Indian Idol now moving closer to finding the Indian Idol Bharat Ki Shaan the singing, the performance, and dedication of the contestants have taken the show to dizzy heights.
