Global software major Oracle today said its India investment has crossed $3 billion over the last five years, reflecting India's significant role in Oracle's global operations. The company today launched two new centres - the Oracle Asia Research and Development Centre and Partner Solution Centre in Gurgaon. The two centres would focus on delivering solutions to the Indian market and also to the Asia Pacific region.

These two centres are a part of Oracle's 19 research, development and solution centres spread across Asia Pacific and Japan. This is a single research and development network by Oracle and its partners to build, test, adopt and showcase leading-edge technology innovations across the region.

"Our investment in India has crossed $3 billion in the last five years, which includes our R&D efforts, software development centres and investment in equity of Indian IT companies that we have acquired," Mr Krishan Dhawan, Oracle India Managing Director, said at a conference here.
