Impetus to host Open Source Community Un-conference

Want to share you views, ideas with the best brains from the software industry? Then get ready for the OSS Camp, Delhi, India's biggest Open Source Community Un-conference. Impetus Technologies (www.impetus.com), the pioneers in outsourced product development and engineering services will host the second electrifying and exhilarating community-driven event, ‘OSS Camp’ at its Noida campus on September 8 and 9, 2007. OSS Cube (www.osscube.com), a leading Open Source Consulting, Development and Training organization, is also supporting this event.

 


OSS Camps (http://www.osscamp.in) are Barcamps focusing on Open Source Technologies with demos; code hacking, discussions, presentations, and interactions with the participants. With the desire of learning by sharing and to share own work with the community, more than 250 technology experts from across the country are expected to participate in OSS Camp, Delhi. The participants can range from Senior Technology Professionals, Directors of Technology & CIOs, Product Evangelists, Technology Teachers, People from Media, and Students. For the first time in India, camps such as PHP Camp, MySQL Camp, Apache Camp, Web 2.0 Camp, etc are being organized, as part of this OSS Camp.  OSS Camp is also part of itinerary of famous “Luck of Seven” (http://luckofseven.com/), an open-source journey around the world documenting free culture, social innovators and global change.  Noel Hidalgo of Luck of Seven (from New York) will be part of this Camp.

 

OSS Camps are not-for-profit events with free participation cost. It is a platform for various communities to come together and collaborate on open source technologies and tools. The first Open Source Community Un-conference “OSS Camp,” was organized on March 24, 2007 in Mumbai.
