Impetus Technologies, (www.impetus.com), the pioneers in outsourced product development and engineering services conducted its flagship RnD event, the iLabs camp at its Noida Campus today. iLabs is the Impetus group’s initiative to be aware and abreast with the ever-changing and effervescent technology space and the iLabs Camp is a forum for employees to come together for the common love and passion of technology. Employees participated in the Camp with their insatiable desire of learning and sharing emerging trends in the technology and product engineering space.
The Camp comprised of 9 Parallel Interactive Sessions on new and emerging technologies, Demos that displayed Live Codes, and 13 Project Kiosks where some of the Impetus’ project teams showcased their work, experiences and learning. Sessions at the Camp were loaded with practical information, examples of real-world solutions, and also included hands-on practice. Some of the topics include Mixed Stack Architectures – LAMP with Java, Application Caching Strategies, RIA Frameworks, Web Continuations and RIFE, Grails, EAI - Portals & CMS, Oracle on NUMA, Java Parallel Library, OpenSocial, Grid Computing etc.
Lots of energetic and enthusiastic participants shared their knowledge with others in the organization. The technology-heavy day culminated in light hearted banter and a movie show in the office premises, and a small dance and snack party was also organized by the iLabs team.
Rachana Salgia, Impetus VP of Engineering, and R&D, said on the occasion, “We are very happy to host the iLabs camp once again. It offers a great opportunity for all participants to exchange ideas, discuss emerging trends and patterns, and share their passion for technology. These forums and other such initiatives enable our employees to interact at multiple levels to discuss, contribute and learn various nuances of upcoming technologies.”
iLabs works on exploring new technology domains like mobile, wireless, new media, speech, IPTV and VOIP etc. This group also works on proof of concepts for new product ideas and prototyping new products, which can be later spun off as independent product teams.
