Impetus Technologies ( www.impetus.com ), the pioneers in outsourced product development and engineering services, celebrated Raksha Bandhan with the kids of Noida based orphanage 'Grace Care'.

Impetus has partnered with Grace Care and adopted five children from this orphanage, and is currently supporting their education. Impetus employees regularly visit the orphanage to help the children at the orphanage in enhancing their creative skills by teaching them to make Cards, Rakhis, Kites, Candles etc.

Since the festival of Raksha Bandhan is round the corner, Impetus employees have decided to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with the kids of Grace Care, and help bring more joy and smiles in their lives. The employees have been visiting the Grace Care Home and have been teaching the children on how to make Rakhies for the past couple of weeks. A stall was also put up for two days at the Impetus office premises to display and sell the Rakhies made by these children.

Mr. Rajeeva Gupta, VP, Engineering, Impetus Technologies, said that, "The Rakhis prepared were beautiful; they mirror the hidden talents of the children and reflect their aspirations. Such small initiatives are stepping stones to the aim of a much bigger socio-economic development of the community which would be livelihood oriented as a whole in a credible & sustainable manner. It also empowers employees by showcasing their camouflaged talents, and promoting the skills lying beneath each individual."

This initiative was undertaken by iCare, an in-house foundation by Impetus which makes a positive contribution to the underprivileged communities by supporting a wide range of socio-economic, educational and health initiatives. iCare has in the past involved Impetus employees in donation of unused clothes, books, stationery, furniture, medicines etc to various NGOs.
