Impetus Technologies, the pioneers in outsourced product development and engineering services volunteered to bring joy to the under-privileged children on the occasion of Diwali. The company organized iCare Diwali Mela today at it office premises in Noida, where the beautifully decoratedDiyas, Candles, Cards and other artifacts made by the children of the NGO - Grace Care were sold to the employees. It also exhibited and sold the Diyas made by the hearing and speech impaired children of Digdarshika, an NGO in As a part of their CSR initiatives, Impetus in-house CSR group 'iCare' has been working closely with these NGOs. To add smiles on the faces of these children, Impetus employees decided to celebrate Diwali with them. The iCare volunteers were regularly visiting Grace Care Home for the past few weeks to teach the children how to make Diwali Cards, beautifully decorated Diyas, candles and many other artifacts. A stall was also put up at the Impetus campus where all those artifacts were displayed and sold to the employees. To add further to the fun quotient to the celebrations, iCare also put up few game stalls in the office. The Games included Juke Box, Pyramids, Hit Wicket, Lucky Seven, Candle Lighting etc. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rajeeva Gupta, VP, Engineering, Impetus Technologies, said, "It is our pleasure to make the festival of lights a very special one for the underprivileged children. I thinks one of the best things we could probably do as a socially conscious organization is to help and provide a platform to these children to enhance their creative skills." This initiative was undertaken by iCare, an in-house foundation by Impetus which makes a positive contribution to the underprivileged communities by supporting a wide range of socio-economic, educational and health initiatives. iCare has, in the past, involved Impetus employees in donation of unused clothes, books, stationery, furniture, medicines etc to such NGOs. The company's full-fledged engagement in numerous social activities and humanity welfare schemes epitomizes its ingrained sensitivity towards the outside world, and thereby, its people constituting its employees, their families and other stakeholders.
