iGATE (NASDAQ: IGTE), a global integrated Technology and Operations (iTOPS) provider, today announced that it has been named to The Black Book of Outsourcing's prestigious 2008 "50 Best Managed Global Outsourcing Vendors" list. iGATE placed in the highest 10% of all firms judged in each survey area: C-Level Commitment, Human Capital Performance, Corporate Direction, and Leadership Impact. Rankings are based strictly on responses from client surveys.
Phaneesh Murthy, CEO, iGATE Corporation said, “We are proud to be a part of The Black Book of Outsourcing’s 2008 list thanks to the positive feedback received from our clients. Our inclusion on this prestigious list is testament to the value and benefits our clients receive through our iTOPS model.”
According to Scott Wilson, Partner, Brown-Wilson Group and co-author of The Black Book of Outsourcing, "iGATE ranked among the top suppliers due to its continuous focus on customer satisfaction in integrated Technology and Operations services, and successful engagements and outsourcing relationships as recognized by their actual clients."
To compile the "50 Best Managed Global Outsourcing Vendors" list, Brown-Wilson Group surveyed outsourcing users and C-level officers to gain a buy-side decision maker perspective on the global services industry. From a pool of 4,207 global outsourcing suppliers of various service lines and locations, 1,690 suppliers from 45 countries were qualified for the 2008 Black Book 50. After a stringent external auditing process, the client experience responses of nearly 24,000 buyer executives determined the 2008 Black Book of Outsourcing rankings.
