IBM gives SME’s the ‘Express Advantage’ in India

IBM India today launched its 'Express Advantage' initiative for mid-market businesses and introduced a host of cross industry solutions for SME's in the six major cities.

 

'Express Advantage' is a strategic initiative which includes a comprehensive portfolio of Express Advantage products & services, and provides mid-market businesses access to a network of local IBM Business Partners and customer experience capabilities, providing them with a unified end-to-end approach to help them innovate and grow.

 

"These offerings exemplify how we collaborate with our business partners and ISVs to develop solutions that will enable their customers to minimize the business challenges they face while increasing their return on investment. IBM will continue to expand its Express Advantage program in India," said Ramesh Narasimhan, Director, GSMB - IBM India/South Asia. "The latest additions to the Express Advantage portfolio address the growing demand for innovative business and infrastructure solutions, which drive more than 60% of mid-market technology spending," he added. 

 

The Express Advantage product portfolio includes offerings from IBM's Software, Systems and Technology, and Services groups - and will address security, business recovery, employee collaboration and energy efficiency needs of mid sized businesses. The offerings are broadly categorized as point product, infrastructure solutions and business solutions. Some of the simple solution offerings included are:

·   Backup solutions include comprehensive suite of products from Tivoli and Storage brands focused on the key data protection activities of backup, archive, recovery, space management, and disaster recovery planning

·   E-mail security solutions for mid-market is designed by our Global Technology Services to help build an offering that servers as a  first line of defense by scanning email and eliminating threats before they reach their network on a affordable payment scheme.

• Server solutions include both Intel and UNIX platform solutions that help build robust infrastructure for mission critical application environment.
• Retail store solutions include check out & kiosk solutions to better organize your retail business 

Another key benefit to IBM Express Advantage is IBM Financing Advantage (IFA) designed specifically for the mid-market. IFA offers customers and Business Partners complete single-source financing at competitive rates, featuring easy access to leases and loans for IBM and non-IBM hardware, IBM software and IBM services, and a full range of buyback, recycling and scrap services to help manage costs, while simultaneously funding growth
