In a joint initiative Hughes Communications India Ltd , a leading provider of broadband satellite networks and services in India and Comat , the leader in enablement and delivery of e-Governance and Information based services to Rural India, have partnered with the Government of Haryana, to roll out e-Disha Ekal Seva Kendra across Rohtak division. The first in a series of 292 Kendra's that the state government plans to roll out in the Rohtak revenue area which includes Rohtak, Panipat, Jhajjar, Sonipat and Karnal was inaugurated by Mr. Mr. J.P. Kaushik, Divisional Commissioner, Haryana at Panipat today. The Kendra's will give people access to eGovernance applications like certificates, land records, social welfare etc. The consumer can also avail services like Interactive education, railway ticketing, airline ticketing, mobile prepaid top ups and international voice calling from these centres. Also present on the occasion were Mr. Gaurav Gupta from Hughes Communications India Ltd. and Mr. Nisal Mohammad, Project Director from Comat. The e-Disha Ekal Seva Kendra initiative of the state is aimed at bring greater transparency and accountability for different government departments and allow people to have a single window to access various government records and apply for various services. In addition, these centres will help generate employment opportunities for the people of the state. Having over a decade of e-governance experience in ten states, Comat is focused on bringing services of citizen centric departments to Haryana", said Nisal Mohammed, Project Director at Comat.
