HTC Corporation. (TAIEX: 2498; “HTC”), the world’s leading provider of Microsoft® Windows Mobile®-based smart devices, today announced the HTC S720, its latest, compact, stylish and powerful CDMA phone combining sleek looks with the latest functionalities. The HTC S720 will be available with Reliance Mobile from Reliance Communications, India’s largest integrated telecommunications player.
The HTC S720 features dual keypads, incorporating a slide out QWERTY keyboard in addition to the standard numeric keypad, for faster typing and calling. Weighing only 133 grams, its compact design enables it to slip easily into a pocket or a purse.
It is powered by Reliance’s CDMA 1X technology which provides high speed mobile internet access upto 144 kbps across the India’s widest network of 15000 towns and 4 lakh villages. Reliance has 100% data enabled base stations for seamless data connectivity while accessing mails or surfing the net on the move.
Utilizing Microsoft® Windows Mobile® 6 Standard Platform, the HTC S720 allows for viewing and editing Word Mobile and Excel Mobile® documents while also enabling Powerpoint® Mobile and PDF® Mobile file viewing. It is equipped with a high-resolution 2.0 megapixel digital camera with video capture capabilities. The HTC S720 enables synching of desktop or Exchange server contacts, calendar and tasks via Microsoft® Office Outlook® Mobile using ActiveSync®.
