Speaking to CNBC-TV18, director of Kalindee Rail Nirman , Arvind Gemini says that he hopes to bag orders worth Rs 300-500 crore of orders from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) by March-June next year. "The impact will be reflected in the balance sheet in 2012-13 and 2013-14," said Gemini.

RVNL had floated around Rs 1,500 crore of tenders.

He goes on to say that the company will perform better compared to previous years in terms of sales.

Below is an edited transcript of his interview with Reema Tendulkar and Ekta Batra. Also watch the accompanying video.

Q: Could you tell us has there been any latest development because of which we are seeing this kind of movement in the stocks, any kind of new tenders opening up, have you already bagged an order for which you had bid for?

A: Actually there are many tenders which are in the pipeline. Earlier, I had told you that around Rs 1,500 crore of tenders are floated by Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL). For three of them, results are out, but results are still awaited for most of them.

Recently their activity started in dedicated freight corridor, which people are waiting for since the last two-three years. So there is some momentum in that particular field.

Q: Just give us a sense of what you are executing in terms of current order book and what would that mean in terms of a possible ballpark figure for sales in Q3 on a year on year basis?

A: It is difficult to predict the things quarter-wise, but definitely the year as a whole we will be doing the same what we have done earlier. There will definitely be a little improvement, but in the coming two years the progress will be considerable.

Q: You indicated that some RVNL orders have already been awarded. Did Kalindee Rail bag any and what is your expectation of the entire Rs 1,500 crore worth of bids which you have put in?

A: We hope to get to two-three slices valuing at around Rs 300-600 crore.

Q: How soon?

A: Maybe up to March or June.

Q: If you do bag these orders, give us a sense of when execution will actually pick up for you and when you would possibly see these orders being converted into numbers or financials for the company?

A: That impact will be reflected in the balance sheet in 2012-13 and 2013-14.

Q: You also indicated that you are seeing some momentum in the dedicated freight corridor?

A: Yes two actually, two packages. This particular section between Mughalsarai and Sonnagar for 66 kilometers, they have asked for pre-qualification of two tenders that is one is for track work and one is for signaling. The notification has already come and now the bids are to be made for pre-qualification.
