CNBC-TV18 has learnt that Hinduja Group is looking to demerge Gulf Oil 's businesses.

The Hinduja Group has declined to comment on speculation.

We are told that the talks to demerge these units are actually at a very premature stage. The group is exploring demerging these two units. There is no final plan on that as yet, but talks are on.

 

The group's CFO Mr. Prabal Banerji said that he does not want to comment on markets speculation.
