Carrera Holdings, Italy, has set up a textile co-ordination centre (textile service cluster) while Vinci-Picanol of Belgium has extended a helping hand to the Indian textile sector to be better prepared in facing global competition.
The textile co-ordination centre in Mumbai would help create the resources and capabilities to build the core competencies needed to develop textile products and services internationally competitive in terms of cost, quality and service with the involvement of Indian textile parks.
Both these companies are key participants in the upcoming national seminar on "Indian textiles and the critical issues for her success", being organised by the Hyderabad Hi-Tech Textile Park (HHTP) in collaboration with the Consortium of Indian Textile Parks in Hyderabad on September 18, 2006.
LOCATION
The HHTP is coming up near Cheguru village, about 36 km from Hyderabad in Mahboobnagar district. The Park is also about 16 km from the upcoming Shamshabad International Airport. The Union Ministry of Textiles is providing assistance/grant of Rs 40 crore and State Government Rs 5 crore for development of infrastructure in 150 acres. The estimated total cost of the park is around Rs 415 crore.
