Hexaware Technologies Ltd is setting up three campuses (all special economic zones) in Chennai, Pune and Mumbai. Investment in each of these centres will be around Rs 200 crore, and they will have capacity to house around 11,000 employees, according to Mr Atul Nishar, Founder and Chairman, Hexaware.

Speaking to newspersons on the sidelines of the company's Tech Summit 2006, Mr Nishar said the first phase of the Chennai campus at Siruseri on the Old Mahabalipuram Road (IT corridor) would be ready by July.

The company acquired around 25 acres of land in the Hinjewadi IT Park (SEZ), Pune, to set up its next campus and recently acquired 14 acres of land in Airoli in Navi Mumbai, he said.

According to Mr Nishar, the physical infrastructure expansion would help the company achieve the "vision of $1 billion in revenue and become a large, tier I IT player. I cannot give you a timeframe," he said. For the current fiscal, the company was likely to post revenues of $185 million (around Rs 800 crore), he said.

Hexaware manages large IT applications in real time and provides services on packaged enterprise applications such as SAP and PeopleSoft.
