India's largest two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp's total sales in June rose 4.3% year-on-year to 5,34,091 units. However, on a sequential basis sales at the company, which makes the Splendor motorcycle and Pleasure scooter, were down 4%.

Earlier in the day, Hero's rival and India's second largest two-wheeler maker Bajaj Auto had reported a 6% year-on-year drop in June total sales at 3,45,162 units as demand for motorcycles in India slowed, while disruption in three-wheeler sales to Egypt and Sri Lanka hit exports.
