Q: Last Budget, you bagged an order of close to 3,500 wagons. At this point, how is that developed in terms of what kind of revenues you can book in the first part of FY10?

A: All the orders we have received last year are for new design wagons which have been developed for the first time. In fact, some of the wagons ‑ like the covered wagons which the railways desperately needs for movement of food grains and cement ‑ are developed in the country only by Texmaco. Other companies are yet to even develop a prototype of these. These are the areas where we are focusing and are very excited about.

We have been doing pretty well. This year, we are looking forward to a very exciting time. We have enough order book in hand. At present, we have an order book of more than 6,000 wagons.

Apart from wagons, Texmaco deals in so many other areas like steel casting. We have a major share there. We have hydro-mechanical and process engineering. So, these are the areas where we operate in. With economic upsurge and infrastructure development being the new slogan of the new government, Texmaco is in place to ripe the benefit of this.
