G CAT MASTER - (Graphiti - Course in Animation Technology):

 

Master Level Certificate

 

This course has been designed specifically for Art Graduates who have completed their education in Fine Arts, Commercial or Applied Art or any equivalent course of study.

 

This is a full time course spread across 12 months with various semesters focusing on the Pre production processes of Animation film making. This course is power packed with workshops like puppetry, drawing, acting, film making, film review session etc.

 

The course focuses on concepts and art of animation film making.  Students will be encouraged to bring out unique creative approaches to animation film making and allow innovation and unique style. 

 

This course will explore the animation pre-production skills of conceptual illustration and visual development. Students will apply their knowledge of drawing, storytelling, and composition to create speculative drawings for animation. They will review compositional systems, design process, and illustration techniques. The emphasis would be on Animation styling, character design, layouts, storyboards and technical processes involved in creating visual assets for animation.

 

Semesters

 

Foundation: 3 months

Animation Film Making: 1 month

Animation Film Design: 6 months

Animation Film Pre Production: 2 months

 

Eligibility

 

The G-CAT Master course is open to those who have learnt Art through courses like Degree or Diploma of Art colleges in Applied/Fine Art or Equivalent.

 

Entry Criteria:

 

1) Art Portfolio consisting of sketches and drawings preferably life study (Could be college exercises)

2) Statement of Purpose (Essaying why the student wants to do animation)

3) Short Film (Animation or Live - optional)

4) Graphiti Entry Test (GET)
