Geodesic and Gothenburg Post, a daily newspaper from the Stampen Group, Sweden have launched GP-Qrir, an interoperable Instant Messenger on the desktop and mobile platform. This will enable Qrir users to receive regular and constant news updates through this IM platform. The launch of GP-Qrir powered by Geodesic technology forms a part of GP’s overall business strategy to Increase its reach by deploying user-friendly and innovative technology.

Gothenburg Post (GP), a leading daily newspaper in Sweden, is published by the Stampen Group, Sweden’s second largest publishing house. The newspaper is over 150 years old and commands good readership and excellent brand equity, particularly in the western region of Sweden. The Stampen Group has a turnover of 447 million USD, with GP contributing 37%.

This cross-network interoperability enables you to communicate with all the major IM service providers in the world like Microsoft, Yahoo and AIM etc through a single user interface. All the features such as cross conference chats, share files and pictures are accessible through the same interface.
