India's leading LCC today announced Free Baggage Allowance of 30 Kgs for International Passengers traveling on GoAir Flights. In order to promote passengers' arriving/departing from/to other countries, GoAir has decided to enhance the allowance of Free Baggage.

Starting today, passengers arriving or departing from/to other countries and traveling by GoAir flights within 48 hours are entitled to a FREE BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE of 30 Kgs per person whether Adult or Child. This scheme will be valid up to 30th September 2006 and a passenger can avail of this allowance by furnishing a valid ticket with a confirmed reservation on any International Airline. Purely Domestic passengers who accompany the International passengers are not entitled to this enhanced Allowance.

Commenting on the program Mr. Jeh Wadia Managing Director GoAir said, "International passengers both inbound and outbound normally have baggage in excess of the 15 kgs permitted by domestic airlines. Owing to the fact that this is the season that sees high traffic of international passengers we have decided to allow upto 30 kgs of baggage per person. We decided to allow this allowance to alleviate the burden of hefty prices for international tickets and excess baggage costs on the traveler; mostly students and  holidaying persons."

GoAir currently operates a fleet of Airbus A320s with 24 flights covering 13 cities including Jammu & Srinagar.
