GoAir, India's premium smart cost carrier completed one year of operations in November having already captured 4%+ market share and flown a million passengers.  GoAir is now set to expand its operations, flights and fleet with an aim to garner a 10% market share in the coming year of operations. From a start up having 1 aircraft and 6 flights a day to 7 aircraft and 61 flights in November 2006, GoAir has come a long way to become one of the fastest growing airlines in the country.

Commenting on the occasion Mr. Jeh Wadia, Managing Director said "It's indeed a proud and emotional moment for me to see the fruition of one year's hard work and effort from my team that has taken us to great heights. GoAir will continue in this vein and will spare no effort to be the leader in the LCC space over the next couple of years. Our load factors are a reflection of our dedication and commitment to high quality service to our passengers through on time performance."

Innovation and premium quality service has become the hall mark of the start up from the Wadia Group headed by Managing Director, Mr. Jeh Wadia. The promise quality is reflected in its 98% on time performance, with an average turn around time between flights being 25 mins. GoAir were the first to offer free seats through their online booking service www.goair.in , where passengers could avail of a free flight ticket exclusive of taxes by simply checking the web site. The GoAir challenge was another innovation where passengers were challenged to find a lower fare on the same route within the same time belt and were offered a refund of twice the difference between fares and their cancellation fees. Needless to say there were no takers for the same proving the fact that they were indeed the lowest fare available on the sectors they flew.
