Another first among many was the first direct flight connecting Mumbai to Srinagar which has made GoAir the leader on that sector with over 90% load factors on all its flights to the J&K region. GoAir has also amassed significant loads factors on the Goa sector and very recently tied up with Goa Tourism Development Corporation Limited - GTDC - to promote tourism to Goa and to develop a common brand 'GoGoa'.
In March 2006 the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced GoAir as the official carrier for the India - England one-day international cricket (ODI) series. The airline operated special flights and carried both teams to the matches to be played in Delhi, Goa, Cochin, Guwahati, Ranchi, Indore, and Mumbai during the month of April 2006. GoAir also launched the lowest cost in flight shopping with AVA merchandising and continues to lead the way in innovations with various promotions and offers to its passengers.
