As part of an innovative promotional strategy, General Motors India today announced a unique scheme entitled "Total Peace Of Mind And Protection Offer" for its sedan, the Chevrolet Optra. This is the first time ever in the Indian automobile market that a manufacturer has introduced such a customer friendly initiative. The package offers customers a special price of Rs 7.24 lacs (Ex showroom, Delhi) for Optra as against a normal price of Rs 7.81 lacs plus other benefits.

Additionally, GM India is also providing the Optra customers, lowest cost of ownership on the vehicle by offering a 3 year/ 60000kms warranty coverage plus free service/maintenance plan for 3 year/45000kms (whichever is earlier). This unique offer covers parts like brake pads, wiper blades, spark plugs, etc apart from oil and consumables providing complete peace of mind to the customers. This means that consumers need not incur service or maintenance cost on parts and components during this period.

That is not all.  GM India is also, for the first time in Indian Automobile industry, offering a minimum assured buyback value of the car at the end of 3 years/45000 kms resulting in total protection to the consumer. A customer could, at his option, return the car to GM India and receive a minimum assured buyback value for his Chevrolet Optra at the end of 3 years / 45000 kms. In case the consumer gets a better value outside or wishes to continue using the car after 3 years, he could do so.

Commenting on this unique initiative Mr. Ankush Arora, Vice President (Marketing, Sales & After Sales) - GM India said, "The 'Total Peace Of Mind And Protection Offer' is an offer true to its word. The offer makes the Chevrolet Optra the best buy in its class as the customer is in a win-win situation by getting a triple bonanza - the most competitive price, a 3 year/ 60000kms warranty coverage plus free service/maintenance plan for 3 year/45000kms and lastly a minimum assured resale price on the vehicle. We believe that this package would set new benchmarks in the Indian automobile industry to maximize customer delight."

A landmark creation from the house of Italian designer specialist, Pininfarina, Optra is the only car in the segment to be honoured with 5 prestigious awards including "BBC Wheels Car of the Year, CNBC Viewers Choice and "Value for Money Car" award by CNBC-Autocar during the year of its launch in India.  The celebrated Sedan Optra has been hailed in India and internationally for its style, performance, comfort and luxury features.
