Drug maker Glenmark is on the verge of signing a few multi-million dollar research deals, reports CNBC-TV18. The company has been in talks with several European players to out-license its anti-asthma drug.
Glenn Saldanha, MD and CEO,
Glenmark, said his company's research pipeline looks very robust. “The two that are open right now are 386 for Europe licencing and VR1 antagonist. In addition, our CV1 antagonist 10801 goes into clinical trials from next month. By the end of May we anticipate to start clinicals again in Europe on our CV1 antagonist. We are extremely excited about it. Molecules in Q2 that are going into clinical trials in Europe are GRC4039 which is PD4 and we have one more CB2 agonist for pain, which is GRC10693 that goes into clinicals,” he said.
Glenmark has already signed deals for its molecules with US-based Forest Labs and German drug maker Merck.
