Genus Power Infrastructures Limited, (“the Company” or “Genus”) one of the largest producers of metering systems, power back-up systems and undertaking ECC (Power Projects) in India, today announced its results for Q3/ Nine Months ended December 31, 2008.


 


Results overview: :


The Company has posted a good financial performance for Nine Months ended December 2008.


 


Income from operations increased by 17% to Rs.3401 million from Rs.2896 million reported in the corresponding nine months.


 


The Profit after Tax has increased by 19 % in the present nine months to Rs.309 million from Rs.260 million reported in the nine months ended December 2007.


 


EPS for the nine months is at Rs.20.93.


 


Commenting on the results, Mr. R.K. Agarwal, Director, Genus Power Infrastructures Limited, said: “Despite a world wide recession, we maintained our revenue growth momentum. We remain positive about the growth of the economy & industry. We believe Govt. will continuously spend on power reform programme and the power distribution reforms will continue be the thrust area of Govt. in coming budgets due to huge gap between demand and supply of electricity and huge transmission & distribution losses of State Electricity Boards.


 


We don’t see any bottleneck to receiving a higher level of orders and sales growth. Our new/advanced products/technologies ensure consistent revenue growth in coming years.”
