New Delhi, Oct. 9: The board of GAIL India Ltd will take a decision on a bonus issue of shares within six months, Mr U.D. Choubey, Chairman, GAIL said. Speaking to newspersons here at the sidelines of the gas sales agreement (GSA) signing with Pragati Power Corporation Ltd (PPCL), he said, “within six months we are expecting a board decision”. The company will also seek shareholders’ approval for the same.
GAIL has inked a GSA with PPCL to supply 2 MMSCMD of regassified-liquefied natural gas. The gas supply for a 1500 MW combined cycle gas turbine power project to be set up by PPCL at Bawana will commence from October 2009, and the validity of this agreement will be till 2024. The plant is expected to be fully commissioned by October 2010 to supply power to Delhi before the Commonwealth Games.
