Fortis Hospital Noida (FHN), part of Fortis Healthcare Ltd., a Ranbaxy promoter Group company, announced the Second International Emergency Medicine and Disaster Preparedness Conference, INTEM 2006. INTEM 2006 is being held to create awareness on the importance of Emergency Medicine in standardising emergency care, developing pre-hospital systems and planning for disaster preparedness. The conference which will consist of lectures, workshops and discussions will be held in New Delhi from November 17-19, 2006, at Air Force Auditorium, Dhaula Kuan. Dr. Alok Roy, Vice President, Centre for Community Initiative, Fortis Healthcare Ltd. said, "INTEM 2006 is an effort towards spreading awareness about the dire need for Emergency Medical Services in the country. It is a collaborative effort where doctors from leading hospitals of the country and from across the world will be present on one single platform educating people about emergency medicine. INTEM 2006 will see senior doctors making presentations, conducting workshops and delivering lectures on a host of topics related to Emergency Medicine." Distinguished Physician Faculty will offer lectures in the following emergency medicine tracks: Research, Disaster Preparedness, EMS/Pre-Hospital Care, Emergency Medicine Administration, Physician Education / Residency Training, Faculty Development, Core Content in Emergency Module. Similarly, Workshops on Radiology Interpretation, Ultrasound, Triage, Basic Airway & Advanced Airway, Aeromedical Transport, National Trauma Management Course (NTMC) & Advanced Cardian Life Support (ACLS) and Emergency Medical Tracks (EMT) & Emergency Medicine will be conducted.
