First Data appoints Shrihari Bhat as Director-Sales
First Data, a leading provider of electronic commerce and payment solutions today announced that it has appointed Shrihari Bhat as the new Director - Sales for the Indian Sub-Continent. He will join First Data on March 15, 2007 and will be based in Mumbai.
Mr. Bhat will be responsible for developing and implementing First Data International’s strategy. His focus will be on building First Data’s card and payment services business in India with an initial emphasis on its VisionPLUS® and merchant alliance programs.

Prior to joining First Data, Shrihari Bhat was General Manager, South East Asia – Retail Solutions Division, NCR Corporation India Pvt. Ltd. Before handling the South East Asia Role, Mr. Bhat was Account Director for NCR India Financial Solutions Division. Under his leadership, the division always exceeded its targets and had a very aggressive growth trajectory.
Shrihari holds a Masters Degree in Marketing Management as well as Bachelors in Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunication. He has a total experience of 15 years catering to the Banking Industry.
