Fin Min to keep CV duty on imports: Sources
With the Annual Budget '07 just a month away, the buzz is that the Finance Ministry does not seem to be plumming for a cut in CV duty on imports, as well as few other duties too, reports CNBC-TV18.
With the Annual Budget '07 just a month away, the buzz is that the Finance Ministry does not seem in favour of a cut in the countervailing duty, or CVD, on imports, reports CNBC-TV18 quoting sources.
The sources also suggest that the Ministry is not in favour of discontinuing Banking Cash Transaction Tax for exporters.
Further, the Ministry is not in favour of extending sunset clause for EOUs post 2009, neither is it in favour of exempting SEZs and EOUs from FBT.
