Passenger car maker Fiat India Automobiles on Friday said its President and CEO Rajeev Kapoor has retired on reaching 60 years of age.
Passenger car maker Fiat India Automobiles on Friday said its President and CEO Rajeev Kapoor has retired on reaching 60 years of age. He had joined the company, which is a 50-50 industrial joint venture between Italian Fiat Group Automobiles SpA and Tata Motors , in 2007. The company has appointed Gurpratap Boparai as the new CEO. Boparai was so far heading the Power Train division of Fiat India, the company said. He will be responsible to scale up its Ranjangaon facility, Fiat said. The Ranjangaon plant in Maharashtra has a capacity to produce 2 lakh cars and 3.50 lakh engines, besides 3 lakh parts and accessories. Both Fiat and Tata passenger cars are produced at the plant.
