FOSTIIMA Business School (FBS), which is set up by a group of seven Alumni of IIM – Ahmedabad, announces a special program on English Communication and Soft Skills. All successful applicants to Fostiima Business School’s MBA Program have the option to attend a special program on English Communication, spoken and written and also soft skills enhancement for a fortnight before the MBA classes commence. The program on English Communication and soft skills commenced on 01 July 2008. Refresher classes in numerical & statistical skills are also envisaged.
The objective behind this special program is to equip the fresher’s with higher standards of communication more attuned to the levels of managers in the global corporate world.Thus, FBS will conduct a special program, which will comprise both written and spoken English and also includes Business Etiquette, Personality Development & Grooming and Cross Cultural Experiences.
Business etiquette plays a vital role and is a powerful, practical, and profitable skill, which one can use to become globally successful. Cross Cultural Experience provides a more evolved understanding of human interactions, both academically and culturally. It equips a manager with the ability to analyse the various factors that affect business strategy and operations and provides an opportunity to integrate people from multi-cultural identities within the common parameters of management.
Mr. Anil Somani, Executive Chairman of FBS states, “Etiquette, manners, and cross cultural skills have become critical elements for all International and Global Business executives, managers, and employees. Since FOSTIIMA is guided by seven trustees who have in-depth corporate experience and know what industry demands from business school graduates, this course will help all the students during their career enhancement”.

The teachers at FBS are MBA’s from IIM’s who have over three decades of experience each. To name a few, Mr. P D Gupta was country Head of BAAN- the German Software major, Ms. N. Chaturvedi was MD of GIVO apparels, Mr. J. Kapur was CEO of the liquor major, Mr. Sanjeev Rastogi was adjunct faculty at McGill during his decades in the Insurance Industry in Canada, etc and many many, more.
