Essar Steel gears up to make fuel efficient materials
Essar Steel Ltd has developed its capacity adequately to commercially produce various grades of hot-rolled and cold-rolled materials used in the auto industry.
Essar Steel Ltd has developed its capacity adequately to commercially produce various grades of hot-rolled and cold-rolled materials used in the auto industry. Indicating this here at the Metals Conclave, the company's Vice-President, Mr M. Venkatraman, said that Essar has, in the meantime, installed Skin Pass Mill, Galvanising Mill, Shearing and Slitting Lines to produce high quality products in desired shape and size to meet stringent requirement of automobile body.
In fact, Mr Venkatraman, along with Mr J. K. Tandon, Director (projects) of Essar Steel, has submitted a paper to the conclave suggesting that the demands by the automotive industries to meet the environment concerns such as global warming, CO2 emission etc, require materials for fuel efficiency.
Among the metallic materials, which would meet the conflicting demands of properties required for the auto applications, steel has proved to be the only choice available yet.
In fact, Mr Venkatraman, along with Mr J. K. Tandon, Director (projects) of Essar Steel, has submitted a paper to the conclave suggesting that the demands by the automotive industries to meet the environment concerns such as global warming, CO2 emission etc, require materials for fuel efficiency.
