To capitalize on the lucrative opportunity unfolding in the RMC space, infrastructure giant The Era Group , through its flagship company, Era Infra Engineering Ltd.(EIEL), announced its foray in the RMC (ready mix concrete) business. It has started its operations with two plants located in the NCR region.

 

For Era, the foray into RMC represents a natural extension as it will leverage their strong two decade plus experience of in-house production and consumption of RMC for vital projects such as roads, bridges, etc. These are fully automated batching plants with laboratories having latest equipments for testing. A large fleet of transit mixers, mobile and stationary pumps capable of discharging concrete at high elevations, leased mines and usage of modern in house technology are a few features that the state of the art plants incorporate.

 

Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Ashok Kumar, Head, RMC business, said" It is a great moment for all of us at Era. The RMC industry in India is growing at an aggressive rate of 30 - 35%. We are an integrated company with rich experience in executing variety of real estate and infrastructural projects. We see a remarkable potential in this sector and we intend to invest substantial investments in the business. We will be looking at both organic and inorganic growth in the coming years".

 

In addition to the prudent foray, the company had strategically selected IMT Manesar and Greater Noida to set up its plants given the huge construction and infrastructure development activities transpiring in this region like housing, commercial, IT parks and Industrial, creating a strong demand base for RMC.

 

With RMC, Era promises customers hi-tech concrete solutions for all types of infrastructure projects- mega housing projects, townships, commercial complexes, factories, institutions & universities, bridges, highways, flyovers and railways.
