RBI does not rule out selling dollars to oil cos

The Reserve Bank of India has an option to sell dollars directly to state oil companies, governor Duvvuri Subbarao said on Thursday, to help ease pressure on the rupee that hit another record low.


The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has an option to sell dollars directly to state oil companies, governor Duvvuri Subbarao said on Thursday, to help ease pressure on the rupee that hit another record low.

Subbarao also said the central bank is not considering a sovereign bond offering right now.
