eBay Inc . and PayPal today celebrate the grand opening of a new Global Development Centre in Chennai, India. The facility currently houses a development staff of approximately 1000 people and the companies plan to hire hundreds of additional technical positions over the next two years.

"We're thrilled that one of the world's most innovative and successful companies has selected Chennai as a home for its new development centre," stated Shri A Raja, Honorable Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology on the occasion of the inauguration of the new Global Development Centre.
