Easycabs completes one year in Delhi

National Radio Taxi leader “Easycabs” more synonymous with the number “43434343” has completed a full year of services for Delhi commuters . The company on its anniversary has also announced another New Year gift for its customers in  Delhi with a special fare of Rs 350, for all passengers, going to the domestic & International Airports.

 


Within these last 365 days, Easycabs with 350 Radio Taxi’s has plied nearly 4,00,000 customers. Around 35% of these have been hailed directly by residents and travelers in the NCR.

 

“It has been exactly a year since we started our services in Delhi and looking at the heavy demand we will be adding anothrer  650 Taxi’s to our already existing fleet of 350” said Mr Rajiv K Vij, Managing Director, Easycabs. “Our endeavor to provide safe transport to customers in Delhi has been successful with more than 50% of our bookings coming from Women and Children, and 30% of the total usage being at night” he further added.

Easycabs which started operations of its radio taxi services for the Capital City in  January 2007 and is also the approved Radio Taxi partner for the Indira Gandhi International and Domestic Airport since June 2007. At the Airports too these Radio Taxi’s have serviced nearly 2,00,000 customers 10% of them being foreigners in the last 6 months, providing the safety and security to travelers.

“Our 24x7 call centers have received more than 10,00,000 calls till now, proving not only that the services are required, but also that people are appreciating the quality we provide” said Mr Ashok Vashist, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Easycabs.

“To mark this occasion we have also launched a scheme, wherein customers will have to pay a minimum amount of only Rs 350 (Three Hundred and fifty) or the regular fair of Rs 15 (fifteen) per Kilometer whichever is lesser. This scheme will be valid for everyone going to the Airport from Delhi  at any given time”, Mr Vashist further added. 

 

All Easycabs Chauffeurs have been recruited after conducting four verifications (which included police, bank and two personal verifications). Besides, verifications, the Chauffeurs have to undergo a multi-step process which comprises of various tests such as written, spoken, attitude, psychology, road knowledge and their behavior under different situations.

The company in the near future will also issue pre-payment vouchers. These will be available at 43434343 and also online for our regular users.

Easycabs in Delhi today can be seen positioned at Airport, Patrol pumps, Metro Stations, Railway Stations and Inter State Bus Terminals, besides being available at major hotels, tourist spots, hospitals, prominent shopping malls, cinema halls, residential/business districts and other important locations.

The company plans to take Easycabs to Hyderabad early next year. Bangalore, Mumbai and Chennai too are part of the launch plan of EasyCabs expansion strategy . While the tier-II cities like Pune and Jaipur will also get 250 cabs each in the near future. On the lines of Yellow Cabs in New York, USA and Comfort Cabs in Singapore, EasyCabs provides its services 24x7 which is supported by its dedicated call center in Delhi.

Easy Cabs – “43434343” currently is the largest city taxi service with 350 radio cabs fully equipped with the state of art technology to give international experience to the people of Delhi. It also operates 50 Cabs at Chandigarh and has plans to operate 5000 Radio Taxi’s in Delhi by Commonwealth Games in 2010.  The  Easycabs fleet is fitted with GPRS technology, digital fare meters and thermal printers for issuing bill / receipt etc. Easycabs in India is promoted by Carzonrent India Private Limited, the sole licensee for Hertz International in India.
