The third and fourth quarter has always been good for consumer products business, said Anant Bajaj, Joint MD, Bajaj Electricals.
Bajaj Electricals is on the radar after the posted a weak set of Q2 earnings. The revenue has declined for the co this quarter and net profit and EBITDA have both come in below street expectations.
Anant Bajaj, Joint MD, Bajaj Electricals in an interview to CNBC-TV18 spoke about the Q2 numbers in detail and shared the outlook going forward.
In the first half of FY18 the consumer business saw a bit of degrowth. However, the company is confident of meeting their double-digit growth target for the full year. Bajaj said the third and fourth quarters has always been good for consumer products like water heaters, air coolers, fans etc.
The net profit in Q2FY18 stood at Rs 19 crore down 13 percent compared to Rs 16.7 crore Year on Year (YoY). EBITDA was down 5.1 percent at Rs 42.9 crore versus Rs 45.2 crore YoY and EBITDA margins at 4.65 percent versus 4.5 percent YoY.For full interview, watch video
