Standalone income of United Breweries in the fourth quarter was Rs 1,003.62 crore. It stood at Rs 937.38 crore in the year-ago period.
United Breweries today reported a standalone net profit at Rs 5.85 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2013.
The company had posted a standalone net profit of Rs 7.28 crore in same quarter of 2011-12 fiscal, United Breweries said in a filing to BSE.
Standalone income of the company during the quarter was Rs 1,003.62 crore. It stood at Rs 937.38 crore in the year-ago period.
The figures for the quarter ended March 31, 2013 are not comparable with those of corresponding period of the previous year due to the amalgamation of UB Ajanta Breweries with the company during the previous financial year, it said. For the financial year ended in March 31, 2013, United Breweries posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 172.11 crore. It was Rs 126.77 crore in the 2011-12 fiscal.
Total consolidated income of the company in 2012-13 was at Rs 3,898.74 crore. It stood at Rs 3,559.28 crore in FY'12. Meanwhile, in a separate filing, the company said its Board of Directors has recommended a dividend of 70 paisa per equity share of Re 1.
They also approved payment of 3 per cent dividend on cumulative redeemable preference shares to Scottish & Newcastle India Ltd.
Shares of United Breweries today closed at Rs 736 per scrip, down 1.67 per cent from previous close on BSE.
