Finally, Dell has zeroed in on Chennai as its preferred destination to set up its first Indian factory. Dell also hopes to increase its 4% share of the Indian desktop and notebook market to 10% in quick time. After all the Indian market is expected to hit about 65 mn units this year, a 30% jump over last year and Dell will be hoping to grab a large chunk of this fast growing market with its India manufacturing plant.
