The airline's chairman said that his company plans to ferry passengers between Bangalore City and the new international airport near the city through its helicopter service.
He said some top industry leaders from Bangalore are expected to meet government officials as well as HAL officials to seek their help in continuing a few flights from the existing HAL airport even after the new international airport starts operations.

Deccan Aviation also announced at the press conference that it has tied up with Oxigen, to offer flight bookings through mobile phones. Through an mFly account, which is a prepaid user account, customers can access the service to book their flights.
Passengers will be able to book, pay and generate an e-ticket on their mobile phones through this service, Capt Gopinath said.
