Development Credit Bank Ltd. (DCB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Praveen Kutty as Head of Consumer Banking Group (CBG).

 

Praveen Kutty brings with him around 16 years of banking experience. He has worked with Citibank 's Indian and international operations before joining DCB. He was until recently, the Area Director for Citibank's NRI Business in North America.

 

While announcing the appointment, Gautam Vir, MD & CEO, said, "I am delighted to bring Praveen on board. He has extensive experience in Retail and Consumer Banking and Portfolio Management. He also brings with him a keen understanding of both the international and the Indian market and we at DCB are certain that Praveen will be an important asset for our growth strategy."

 

In the 16 years Praveen has been with Citibank, he has successfully managed multiple consumer banking businesses including Credit Cards, Personal Loans, Home Loans, Branch Banking and Wealth Management.  Prior to his international assignment, as the Head of Credit Cards Portfolio, he chalked up impressive growth both in terms of receivables and profitability. Previously, he was the Area Director for Bangalore for Consumer Banking, and he was instrumental in scaling up the remote banking Suvidha experiment into a highly profitable customer proposition.

 

Praveen is 40 years of age and prior to this appointment, was based out of New York, USA.

 

Praveen holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Bharathidasan Institute of Management, Tiruchirapalli, India and a Bachelor's degree in Commerce.
