D-Link India Ltd., India’s premier networking company has launched its latest Wireless G Router (DIR-300). DIR-300 is an entry-level Wireless G router for home and small office users. With DIR-300 one can share a broadband Internet connection with multiple computers by simply connecting it to a cable or DSL modem.
The router includes stateful Packet Inspection as well as firewall functions to safe guard your network from harmful attacks. One of the key features of DIR-300 is its scheduling parental control which helps parents to have more flexible control when kids access the Internet. This router allows users to share the Internet through either wired or wireless connection.
DIR-300 is also based on the 802.11g standard and is backward compatible with 802.11b. Wireless encryptions such as WEP, WPA and WPA2 are supported to ensure that data gets securely transmitted over the wireless network. Lastly, the package also includes a quick router setup wizard utility to help users setup the unit for their networks and over the Internet with just a few clicks.
