South Asia's first and largest specialty media house, CyberMedia , has announced a new organizational structure to prepare the organization for the next level of growth.

As part of this plan, CyberMedia has decided to appoint three group heads to lead the Print Publishing, Online and Life Sciences, and the CyberMedia Services group. These three group heads will have the profit centre responsibility and will report to the Executive Board.

Commenting on the move CyberMedia's Chairman and Managing Director Mr. Pradeep Gupta said, "This initiative is in line with CyberMedia's philosophy of providing continuous growth opportunities for exceptional Cyber-ites.

"CyberMedia's entrepreneurial style of management will continue to throw up exceptional leaders in the days to come to drive business," Mr. Gupta added.

The ICT print publishing activities comprising seven publications - Dataquest, the DQWeek network of four newspapers, DQ Channels, Voice & Data, Voice & Data Connect, PCQuest and Living Digital -- will now be headed by Mr. Prasanto Kumar Roy. In his new role as President (ICT publishing), Prasanto will steer the editorial, business and sales and marketing functions of the print publications.

Prasanto joined the CyberMedia group in 1990 in the editorial department of Dataquest. He successfully launched several new activities for the group, including the PCQuest CD-ROM, Computers@Home magazine (now Living Digital), the DQWeeks, and DQChannels. Prasanto is known as one of the finest technology writers, combining a rare blend of business acumen and understanding of technology.  He is at equal ease in forecasting 'business of technology' trends for CIOs as he is communicating the impact of new technologies and trends in simple terms for readers.
