Computer Sciences Corporation (NYSE: CSC) today announced that it has been named one of the top 25 enterprise companies serving the financial services industry worldwide. The annual ranking is compiled by American Banker, a daily newspaper for the banking and financial services industry, and Financial Insights, an IDC company providing strategic business and technology advice for the banking and financial services industry.
This is the fourth consecutive year CSC has been named a leading provider of information technology (IT) services to this industry. To be selected as one of the top 25, companies must be global technology firms that provide services or market products across multiple industries, but have significant reported revenues in financial services. Qualifying companies are categorized and evaluated by fiscal year-end revenues and percentage of revenues from sales to financial services industry clients.
"CSC distinguishes itself through its track record of planning, building and operating reliable and efficient systems for financial services firms around the world," said Jim Cook, president of CSC's Financial Services Sector. "This ranking confirms that CSC continues as a leading presence in the global financial services market."
To complement its capabilities in consulting, systems integration and outsourcing, CSC brings clients financial services industry knowledge and experience, a comprehensive portfolio of financial services application software and an extensive network of industry and technology alliances. More than 10,000 CSC employees are dedicated to serving the company's financial services clients, which include more than 1,200 major banks, insurers, and investment management and securities firms.
