CREDAI NCR, the Delhi-NCR chapter of the Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) has announced that it has entered into a strategic tie-up with University School of Management Studies, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIU) to set up Centre for Research in Real Estate & Infrastructure Development, India's first institute to offer professional courses and research opportunities to students interested in taking up a career in the ever evolving real estate industry in India. The MoU to this effect was signed between Mr. Pradeep Jain, President, CREDAI NCR and Chairman, Parsvnath Developers ; and Mr. KK Agarwal, Vice Chancellor, GGSIU.

 

The MoU signing ceremony was also attended by Dr. Kuldip Chander, Professor & Head, Building Engineering & Management Department, School of Planning & Architecture; Mr. Kailash Gupta, Vice-President, CREDAI NCR and Vice Chairman & MD of Aerens Builders Pvt. Ltd.; and Mr. Rohit Raj Modi, Hon. Secretary, CREDAI NCR and MD Ashiana Homes Pvt. Ltd.

 

Said Mr. Pradeep Jain, President, CREDAI NCR, "We are extremely proud to announce one of its kind industry-academia collaboration. The Centre for Research in Real Estate & Infrastructure Development will be a testimony to the fact that the real estate industry in India has come of age and is today comparable to any other industry in professionalism. We are glad that with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, we will be able to ensure that the best of professional education is offered to youngsters keen on joining this vibrant industry."

 

CREDAI will make special efforts to make the course content as relevant as possible by ensuring mandatory internships and training in the industry. The students pursuing courses at the Centre for Research in Real Estate & Infrastructure Development will have a chance to work on real-life infrastructure and real estate development projects to get hands-on experience of the intricacies involved.

 

The MoU states that both CREDAI NCR and GGSIU will identify areas of common interest by mutual consent for studies & research and disseminate knowledge jointly through teaching, research programmes and consultancy works. They will also organize training and research programmes, seminars, conferences, workshops on issues related to real estate and other identified areas of common interest.

 

As per the MoU, GGSIU and CREDAI NCR will allow access to each others' library resources; exchange publications, newsletters and journals with each other; and also assist each other in publication of any reports relating to real estate and other identified areas of common interest.
