As the competition in telecom space rises, the companies are getting ready to fight tooth and nail to preserve their market share. Vodafone India is no different.

The company CEO Vittorio Colao has asked its employees to work towards retaining the existing and adding more customers in order to deal with competition, mentions a report in Economic Times.

During a town hall with the company’s employees, Colao reiterated that India is one of its most important markets and that the employees must ensure that customers remain happy.

Vodafone India is scaling and strengthening its network in the country already. In the recently concluded auctions, the company bought airwaves worth Rs 20,000 crore.

Colao during his visit to India also met up with the telecom minister Manoj Sinha to discuss policy regime and implementation of the Goods & Services Tax (GST) Bill.

UK’s largest telecom player is also planning to list in India. The company had recently pumped in Rs 47,700 crore to widen expansion and to add more spectrum.
