Ousted Tata Group Chairman Cyrus Mistry may be at an advantage when Tata Power's board meets today, reports Business Standard. A source has tipped that there may not be many on the board of Tata Power who would have him sacked as Chairman of the company.
Tata camp's plan is to instead avoid any movement of a vote of confidence for Mistry. A possible removal of Mistry is also not on the agenda of the meeting, a source in the Mistry camp has said.
The Tatas may be trying to avoid a repeat of what happened at the board meet of Indian Hotels, where individual directors had voted in support of Mistry, praising his leadership.
